Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-28

Version: 2.2

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and LetsLoop Ltd (company number 17178512, registered in England and Wales) ("LetsLoop", "we", "us") governing your use of our community mobile app, website, and related services for discovering and joining spontaneous local plans ("loops") (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract to use LetsLoop. By creating an account you represent that you meet these requirements. We operate an age gate at signup and may terminate any account we reasonably believe belongs to a person under 18.

3. Account Registration

To use most features you must create an account. You agree to:

  • provide accurate, current, and complete information;
  • verify a mobile phone number, which is required to create an account. This is one of the main ways we keep the community genuine, and it is how the one-account rule below is enforced in practice. Your number is never shown on your profile and is never shared with other members;
  • keep that information up to date;
  • use only one personal account (no duplicate or "burner" profiles);
  • keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account;
  • notify us promptly at privacy@letsloop.app of any unauthorised use.

You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.

4. What LetsLoop Is, and Is Not

LetsLoop is a community platform that helps people discover and join spontaneous local plans ("loops") and meet the people around them. We provide profiles, loop discovery, chat, group features, and event tooling. The product is free for members and we intend to keep it free indefinitely.

LetsLoop is not:

  • a letting agency, estate agent, or housing service
  • an event organiser, promoter, or guarantor of any plan posted by members
  • a payment processor: we do not collect, hold, or transfer money between members
  • a credit reference, guarantor, insurance, or financial-services provider
  • a dating service

Any plan, meetup, or loop you take part in is arranged between members. LetsLoop is not a party to it and is not responsible for what happens at member-organised plans or events.

5. Acceptable Use

LetsLoop is a community. When using the Service you agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, intimidate, dox, or stalk any other user;
  • post hateful, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable content;
  • create fake profiles, impersonate another person, or use someone else's photos without permission;
  • solicit money, run scams, send spam, or promote unrelated goods or services;
  • use the Service for any commercial advertising or lead-generation business without our prior written consent;
  • ask any user to pay money to LetsLoop: LetsLoop never asks for or holds payments. Anyone telling you to send money to "LetsLoop" is a scam; please report them immediately to privacy@letsloop.app;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the Service, circumvent access controls, or interfere with its operation;
  • upload malware or engage in any activity that compromises the security or integrity of the Service;
  • collect or store personal data about other users beyond what is necessary to take part in a loop or community plan;
  • breach any applicable UK or local law while using the Service.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.

6. Content Ownership and Licence

6.1 Your content

You retain ownership of the photos, text, messages, and other material you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). You represent that you have the rights necessary to share Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright, trade marks, privacy, or publicity rights.

6.2 Licence to us

By submitting Your Content, you grant LetsLoop a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, providing, improving, and securing the Service (including moderation and safety review). This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except to the extent we must retain copies to comply with legal obligations or to protect other users (see Privacy Policy, Section 7).

6.3 Our content

The Service itself (including our software, design, brand, logos, written copy, and other materials we provide) is owned by LetsLoop or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial use.

7. Conduct and Safety

LetsLoop helps you meet people and join local plans. You agree to:

  • represent yourself honestly in your profile;
  • treat other members with respect, whether online or in person;
  • meet in public places and exercise normal personal-safety judgement when meeting people in person;
  • not use the Service to solicit romantic or sexual relationships: LetsLoop is not a dating service;
  • report concerning behaviour via the in-app report tool or to privacy@letsloop.app.

We do not verify users' identities, criminal records, immigration status, financial standing, or the truthfulness of their profiles beyond any identity-verification feature explicitly displayed in the product. You are responsible for your own safety decisions, including any decision to meet, travel to a plan, or spend time with someone you have met through the Service.

7a. Hosting a plan

If you create or host a loop, you are its organiser, not LetsLoop. As the organiser you are responsible for:

  • describing the plan accurately, including any age or audience restrictions you set;
  • choosing the venue and complying with its rules, and with any law that applies to your event (including licensing, capacity, and age-restriction rules);
  • the conduct of the event itself, and for anything you supply at it.

We encourage hosts to choose public venues, especially for plans where attendees have not met before. You must not use the Service to collect payment from attendees (see Section 8). Audience filters behave in two different ways, and the difference matters:

  • Gender and age restrictions ARE enforced by us. If you limit a loop to women, men, or non-binary members, or set an age range, our servers block anyone outside it from joining. You do not have to police it yourself.
  • Every other filter or preference you describe is not enforced, and is only a signal shown to members so they can self-select.

Enforcement is applied against what a member has told us about themselves. We check the declared value; we do not verify anyone gender or age against identity documents. So an enforced filter is a meaningful barrier, not proof, and you must not present it to attendees as a guarantee about who will be in the room.

7b. Safety features

Any safety-related feature we provide (such as verification badges, host history, attendance records, audience filters, reporting and blocking tools, or any check-in or trusted-contact feature) is an aid to your own judgement, not a guarantee of any member's identity, age, gender, background, or conduct. No LetsLoop feature contacts the emergency services on your behalf. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999.

8. Payments

LetsLoop is free to use. The core product (loops, profiles, chat, groups) is intended to remain free.

If we introduce optional paid features in future, this Section will be updated to describe pricing, billing, auto-renewal, cancellation, refunds, and any applicable consumer rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Any change to introduce paid features will be notified to you in advance.

9. Termination

9.1 By you

You may delete your account at any time from within the app settings or by emailing privacy@letsloop.app.

9.2 By us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, if your conduct poses a risk to other users, or if we decide to discontinue the Service. Where practical and lawful we will give you notice; in serious cases (such as risk to other users' safety) we may act immediately.

9.3 Effect of termination

On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including the licence grant for content already shared with other users, the disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing-law clauses) will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that:

  • loops, plans, or connections will lead to friendships or any specific outcome;
  • other users are who they say they are, are honest, or are suitable to meet;
  • the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, or liability that cannot be excluded under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any non-excludable statutory rights you have as a consumer.

11. Limitation of Liability

Subject to Section 10 and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, business opportunity, or revenue;
  • our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in that period, or (b) £100.

These limits apply whether the claim is in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise.

In particular, LetsLoop is not liable for the conduct of other users, including any harm, loss, damage, or expense arising from your interactions with users you meet through the Service or from any plan, meetup, or loop that results.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold LetsLoop harmless from any claim, liability, loss, or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) Your Content; or (c) your interactions with other users, including any plans, meetups, or loops that result.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15. Disputes

We would like to resolve any issue informally first, please contact us at privacy@letsloop.app. If we cannot resolve the dispute, you and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that:

  • if you are a consumer resident in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or another part of the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts;
  • nothing in this Section affects your statutory rights as a consumer or your right to use any consumer dispute-resolution scheme.
