1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and LetsLoop Ltd ("LetsLoop", "we", "us") governing your use of our flatmate-matching mobile app, web app, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract to use LetsLoop. By creating an account you represent that you meet these requirements. We operate an age gate at signup and may terminate any account we reasonably believe belongs to a person under 18.
3. Account Registration
To use most features you must create an account. You agree to:
- provide accurate, current, and complete information;
- keep that information up to date;
- use only one personal account (no duplicate or "burner" profiles);
- keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account;
- notify us promptly at privacy@letsloop.app of any unauthorised use.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
LetsLoop is a community. When using the Service you agree not to:
- harass, threaten, intimidate, dox, or stalk any other user;
- post hateful, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable content;
- create fake profiles, impersonate another person, or use someone else's photos without permission;
- solicit money, run scams, send spam, or promote goods or services not related to flatmate searching;
- use the Service for any commercial letting agency, listing syndication, or lead-generation business without our prior written consent;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the Service, circumvent access controls, or interfere with its operation;
- upload malware or engage in any activity that compromises the security or integrity of the Service;
- collect or store personal data about other users beyond what is necessary for a bona fide flatmate enquiry;
- break any applicable UK or local law while using the Service.
We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.
5. Content Ownership and Licence
5.1 Your content
You retain ownership of the photos, text, quiz answers, messages, and other material you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). You represent that you have the rights necessary to share Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
5.2 Licence to us
By submitting Your Content, you grant LetsLoop a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, providing, improving, and securing the Service (including moderation and AI-assisted safety review). This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except to the extent we must retain copies to comply with legal obligations or to protect other users (see Privacy Policy, Section 7).
5.3 Our content
The Service itself — including our software, design, brand, logos, and copy — is owned by LetsLoop or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial flatmate searching.
6. Match Behaviour Rules
LetsLoop helps you find compatible flatmates. You agree to:
- represent yourself honestly in your profile and quiz answers;
- treat matches with respect, whether online or in person;
- meet in public places and exercise normal personal-safety judgement when arranging viewings;
- not use matching to solicit romantic or sexual relationships — LetsLoop is not a dating service;
- report concerning behaviour via the in-app report tool or at privacy@letsloop.app.
We do not verify users' identities, backgrounds, or the truthfulness of their profiles. You are responsible for your own safety decisions, including any decision to view a flat, sign a tenancy, or share accommodation.
7. Payments
Some features may be offered on a paid basis. When our paid tier launches, this section will describe pricing, billing cycles, auto-renewal, cancellation, refunds, and any applicable consumer rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Until the paid tier is live, the Service is provided free of charge.
8. Termination
8.1 By you
You may delete your account at any time from within the app settings or by emailing privacy@letsloop.app.
8.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, if your conduct poses a risk to other users, or if we decide to discontinue the Service. Where practical and lawful we will give notice; in serious cases we may act immediately.
8.3 Effect of termination
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including licence grants for content already shared with other users, liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that:
- matches will lead to successful flat-shares, tenancies, or friendships;
- other users are who they say they are, or are suitable flatmates;
- the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, or liability that cannot be excluded under English law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).
10. Limitation of Liability
Subject to Section 9, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or business opportunity;
- our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in that period, or (b) £100.
These limits apply whether the claim is in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold LetsLoop harmless from any claim, liability, loss, or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) Your Content; or (c) your interactions with other users, including any viewings, tenancies, or living arrangements that result.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13. Disputes
We would like to resolve any issue informally first — please contact us at privacy@letsloop.app. If we cannot resolve the dispute, you and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
